This Halloween we had a Darth Vader, High School Musical Cheerleader and a Bumble Bee. They were as cute as can be, and had a great time at their two parties, and of course Trick or Treating. Olivia got the hang of it real quick, she held up her "buckee" and said "tick treat" in her little voice, soo cute.

A Mommy Favorite

Looking through some photos over the last year, I came across this one, for some reason I just love it of my girls. I think it is Sofia's expression and how hard she is squeezing her sister. We took these photos on a Mommy photo shoot when Olivia was 6 months old. Sofia was dressed up as Cinderella when I was taking photos. These two girls are becoming the best of friends, and it melts my heart.

Not Me Monday

I love this blog and have been hooked since I came across it. MckMama is waiting for her miracle Stellan to arrive soon, and she is the most popular blog on the block. Check out her story, it is really great reading.

Today is the first Not Me Monday she is starting, where we post all the things we absolutely DID NOT do this week (meaning we did and are ok with it!).

  • I DID NOT read blogs and sit here writing my post while my daughter was eating her breakfast with Elmo to keep her company.

  • I DID NOT skip doing any housework this weekend, and washing the laundry which we desperately needed clean to do fun things with my family.

  • I DID NOT stay on the computer to long reading blogs, facebook, etc. instead of doing something productive with myself and resting.

  • I DID NOT roll out of bed and not make myself presentable before I drove my kids to school - not thinking about what had happened had I had to get out of my car.

  • I DID NOT eat delicious little brownie bites, and not share them with the kids!

  • I DID NOT think about all I went through this year fighting Leukemia and think why me?

I am sure I have many more Not Me's this past week, I will have to think about it and update it and not doubt I will be doing that while I should be doing other much needed things, lol.

Check out MckMama's blog and there are Mr. Linky's to a ton of other hysterical Not Me's.

First Day Of School Smiles

We are nearing the end of the first week of the school year and everyone is liking it and having fun. Christian had Tuesday off already due to Tropical Storm Fay, but he is back now and getting into routine.

Here are some smiles from the first day with their backbacks!

Happy 7th Birthday Christian

It is hard to believe he is 7 already, seems like just yesterday he was born. We share birthdays one day apart too. I was sure my whole pregnancy with him he would come on my birthday, but he made me wait one more day, he was the best belated birthday present! I am so happy to be here to celebrate his birthday with him.

Just born

And growing up way to fast - his 7th birthday cake photo!

Fun at the Science Museum

We took the kids to the Museum of Discovery and Science, and they had a great day. Olivia is old enough to walk around and play now too, so she thought it was fun to be like the big kids. We saw fish and turtles and many more animals, they played in kids zone, blowing bubbles and climbing all the fun things. They played with magnets, a recycling center, and also got to see the display of live frogs, who knew so many kinds exsisted??? They were all different colors, and Christian loved the poisinous ones the best, they were awfully cute, but oh so dangerous.

They have a whole plane / space ship play interactive area, they got to sit in the front of an old plane and touch all the dials, they got to pretend that they were flying, visit Mars and a bunch of other things.

Another busy, but fun summer day.
